Pocket folding magnifying glasses are used in biology, geology and as compact reading aids. Plastic cased magnifiers are economical and come with relatively large lenses and are good for insect, plant or tree leaf identification.

Plastic Foldout Hand Lenses

Plastic cased magnifiers are the most economical and come with relatively large lenses (30mm/1.25") and are good for insect, plant or spider identification. The basic model has a 5X lens. Two other models come with 2 or 3 5X lenses that when lined up form compound lens of 10X & 15X respectively. There is also a 10X 50mm (2") if you prefer a larger lens. All models have glass lenses

Doublet Geology Lens for

Our standard geology hand lenses come as doublets which use cemented lens pairs for improved chromatic (color) correction. They come with superior optical glass in a metal housing that has a loop suitable for attaching a lanyard.

Triplet Geology Loupes for
Optimum Performance

These triplet magnifiers are our best quality geology lenses. They come with three lenses cemented together for optimum chromatic performance and true color clarity. They have optical grade glass, metal housings, a loop for a lanyard and come with a leather pouch. The 15X is intended for the advanced geologist or mineralogist. The 20 & 30X for those with the most demanding requirements such as fungal spores (e.g. soybean rust) or microfracture analysis, respectively.
