Miscellaneous Magnet Accessories

Magnet accessories are all those things which don't fit into the other categories but are nevertheless useful for studying magnetic properties.

The electromagnet is the only non-permanent magnet we carry. Use with a 4.5-9 volt DC power source: connect it to a battery or old model train transformer and pick up various objects. Or, just use a magnetic wand to pick up objects such as chips, marbles or even paper clips.

Here are two different ways to appreciate floating magnets. Drop a magnet down a copper tube & watch it appear to defy gravity. Or, simply stack some magnets with same poles opposing each other & levitate.
